TESTIMONIALS

Kelly is the reason I still have my dog, Buddy. I got him as a young adult from a dog rescue society and I called her during our first week together. Buddy, although a wonderful likeable dog, wasn’t obeying me at all. I had to learn to be an owner and Buddy had to learn to be my dog.
She helped us both. She was humorous, flexible, approachable and knowledgeable about her subject; all qualities of an excellent instructor. It is clear she has found her calling; teaching people how to be effective dog owners!
Thanks Kelly!

Kelly, thank you very much for the very lively, informative, and fun training sessions. My husband and I felt that this was one of those "don't miss" classes. Your training sessions really paid off, we are really impressed with the results. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, it has made a world of difference. I have, and will continue to recommend your services to every dog owner. Thank you again.

I registered in hopes of better controlling my dog, Mack, a Blue Heeler cross. He was 7 months old, very energetic and did not respond well to commands. ( let's face it, he was the boss!) The first week was eventful but we kept going....By the third class, even when Mack howled and yelped at the pinch collar, I KNEW we were making progress.
Now he is a very well behaved 1.5 yr old dog. I even have people ask me to call my dog so their dog will follow, He comes right away! The neighbor down the street ( a cat lover) once called to say Mack was there and she was going to walk him home, I said "just let me call him"...He came running. She called back immediately to tell me what a great dog his is and how as soon as he heard me he was gone!
Mack and I enjoyed the classes so much we signed up for the advanced class. Another great time.!!! Also, this is the longest we have ever had a pet stay with us, I think because of the training.

Thanks so much for all the advice that is still readily given.

I signed up for this course with Kelly after numerous challenging encounters with my young, opinionated and extremely stubborn boxer. AJ was a very happy and fun loving dog when one on one with me but take him out anywhere or have people over to the house and he became the pup from hell. Kelly showed me in a few minutes of working with AJ that all was not lost. I signed up for her course and I now have a young, opinionated and extremely stubborn boxer who behaves very well and is easily controlled on or off the leash. Every dog owner should have to take this course for their dogs’ sake.

Independent was about 5 months old when we started the course, I went through a horrible 2 months of both Indy and myself being totally dysfunctional, with him running, hyper, stealing every item in the house, jumping, pulling when walking, barking, you name it. To boot, there I was constantly running after him, yelling at him, giving him all that attention he wanted even though it was negative attention all the while treating him like a little human being. I was at the end of my ropes, for the record Indy is a very large black lab, notorious for trouble when young and this was my first time raising such a big and out of control beast!

Indy and I were finally able to get into one of your courses and WOW, that’s a big "WOW". We both seen a big improvement in each others attitudes and behaviors and that was immediately after the first lesson. Your tools taught us to know who was human and who was animal, we learned what the demands and expectations were on both parts, which instantly gave us both a big sigh of relief. He was happy that I could tell him what I expected without confusion and I was happy he could, sit, shake a paw, lay down...As the course went forward he has just totally become an awesome friend, in my eyes he's perfect. Oh, he'll every now and then still test the waters, but over all he is so well behaved, a true gentleman. He's so sociable, being with the class and other dogs has made him feel comfortable with strangers whether human or not. Taking the course with you was great and may I add that in Independents litter there were 3 females and himself, to date 2 of the females have been put down (how unfortunate) due to bad behaviors which were not dealt with when they were pups. I'm so happy that you were there to help me and Indy, because honestly I love my dog more than anyone could possibly know, I couldn't imagine not having him in my life. But realistically speaking, if it were not for your course, I most probably would have had to have him put down as well. Thanks for teaching me how to raise my wolf dog correctly; we could never thank you enough.

For the record he is now approaching 15 months old weighs in at 116 pounds. Everyone he meets thinks he's awesome...he looks big and scary, the size of a horse, when I walk him people hesitate and want to walk around him. But when he walks by with his head up high and little children want to pet him no matter how scary he looks and the parents are all freaking out, on command Indy will sit there and let those little kids do what they want. Parents think this is cool, so do I. I could keep going on and on about Indy and how proud I am of him but in actuality it's all thanks to you and all the tools you have given me during that wonderful and yet fun course. Me and my pack look forward to seeing you and your pack perhaps out at the next big event somewhere in public, where you can actually see what a great well disciplined, happy dog I have, instead of leaving him at home like before and seeing your well behaved pack out and about.

I have had the pleasure of attending a few of Kelly's obedience classes with my cavaliers. I have always been impressed with how well Kelly works with the two legged clients as well as the four legged ones! She is able to get her point across to the new handlers and has a calm, natural hand with the dogs. She has been kind enough to meet me in Terrace for some one on one training when I was having some problems with some of my younger dogs. Within a matter of moments she had the problem on its way to being solved. I receive a lot of phone calls from people looking for obedience classes, and I don't hesitate to send them in Kelly's direction. ( I keep hoping that she will have another set in Terrace that I can attend...). My crew also LOVES her jerky treats! They can't get enough of those. In my opinion, Kelly is a really asset to the dog community in both Kitimat and Terrace...I hope to see you and Russ continue to expand your doggy business', as I can only see you two being the place to go!
